Bienville House Hotel
Named after Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville, the French founder of New Orleans, the Bienville House Hotel has humble beginnings. Built in 1835, it originally served as a manufacturing plant for Planters Rice Mill in the newly established state of Louisiana.
Throughout the next century the building was redefined alongside New Orleans’ rich history. It was converted into a firehouse and remodeled into a luxury apartment building.
After a nearby warehouse fire in the early 1970’s that nearly destroyed the building, it was restored with Old-World splendor to match its historic past. A New Orleans hotel once more, it is now owned by the Monteleone family and a member of the Historic Hotels of America.
Bienville House proudly continues to offer luxury and comfort in the heart of New Orleans, sharing the timeless charm of the French Quarter in a historic, boutique setting.
